We encourage students to use AI as a resource while providing guidance on ethical and responsible use. As a student in our program, you will have access to CoPilot as your official AI engine, helping you develop skills applicable to a variety of leading AI platforms. You will gain insights into best practices for using AI in project documentation and an understanding of potential risks associated with misuse, enabling you to become a responsible and informed user.
As a technical drafter and CAD operator, Autodesk software is widely used, and these programs are expected to gain AI functionality by 2025. With our continuously updated courses reflecting the latest advancements in the industry, you will develop the skills needed to explore these AI-driven features as they are launched, keeping you at the forefront of technological innovation.
Architectural Technical Design is an exciting program where you will gain insight into contributing to the production of building drawings and modelling residential and commercial buildings. This specialization offers a unique opportunity to develop skills that encompass not only technical expertise but also a creative and holistic approach to problem-solving.
Throughout your education, you will learn how to visualize different types of buildings and place them in real-world contexts using coordinates. You will gain in-depth knowledge of relevant software and the production of presentation materials, which can later be used as part of a portfolio, for example, in a job application process.
If you want to gain additional skills in areas such as project management, construction processes and conceptual modelling, you can apply directly to the second year of the two-year programme Technical Design - Building Information Modelling (BIM).
After completing the Architectural Technical Design programme, you can pursue roles such as:
The programme covers 2D drawing, 3D modelling, and visualization. You will receive a thorough introduction to all three, learning to use modern and professionally updated tools and techniques. You will work with specialized software to maximize your learning experience.
You will also learn to plan drawings and models, anticipate challenges, and solve problems constructively. By the end of the program, you will be able to work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to produce and deliver robust drawings and models of buildings.
Upon graduation, you will be proficient with digital tools and familiar with common industry processes for the production of technical documentation to meet various needs.

Approximately NOK 1000 per year should be expected. Free alternatives can be used but are not recommended.

To qualify for the program, you must have general study competence or vocational education with a professional certificate. It is also possible to apply based on recognized prior learning.
