Noroff hosted Career Day on March 12, 2025, at our campuses in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, and Kristiansand.
The event brought together students and representatives from various companies, providing students with a valuable opportunity to network and gain insight into the job market. Students participated in lectures and workshops and had the chance to ask industry professionals questions directly.
At the Oslo campus, companies such as TieConnect, DNV, and Strawberry shared their expertise. In Bergen, participants included Atea, Bergen Næringsråd, SRF, and Indie Film. Stavanger welcomed companies Næringsforeningen, Ivolv, and SiS. Meanwhile, Kristiansand hosted Netsecurity and featured streamed presentations from other relevant companies.
Students' Experience of Career Day
For many students, this was an opportunity to receive valuable advice from industry professionals. Eirik Frette Hernes, a first-year student in Networking and IT Security at the Bergen campus, found the day to be an insightful and valuable opportunity to understand what employers are looking for.
- It has been rewarding and fun to talk to companies. Learning about what they do, what they are working on, and what they are looking for.
For him, it was especially useful to gain insight into how education can be tailored to meet industry demands.
- I spoke with someone from Atea. He gave me great tips on what I should consider for my future career. He also helped me think about the best way to achieve my goal.

Johann Tryggvason, a student of Cyber Security through OnlinePLUS in Bergen, noticed that Noroff's Career Day stood out from similar events.
- The difference with this event compared to others is that it is more intimate and creates a different way to experience Career Day.
He also greatly appreciated how companies took the time to engage with students.
- It felt more personal rather than just a promotion for the company. It was interesting and really fun that they took the time to answer our questions.

Connecting Studies and the Job Market
Career Day is an essential part of Noroff's initiative to bridge the gap between students and the job market. Through such events, students have the opportunity to build networks, gain insights into industry needs, and prepare for the transition from studies to working life.
