Noroff Vocational School is launching three new study programmes within some of the most in-demand technology fields in today’s job market: Applied Artificial Intelligence, DevOps Engineering, and Cloud Security and Infrastructure. The goal is to educate candidates who can step directly into real projects and contribute with practical skills from day one.
Developed with the industry – for the industry
- Companies need people who understand the technology and can turn it into solutions that actually work, says Aage Alexander Foss, Principal of Noroff Vocational School.
Digitalisation, automation, and cloud-based services are transforming the workplace at incredible speed. The demand for technological competence is growing, and organisations are struggling to find professionals with the right combination of technical knowledge and hands-on skills.
The new programmes have been developed in close collaboration with leading industry partners such as Atea, Simula Research Laboratory, and Crayon.
- This allows us to respond faster and develop programmes that truly meet industry needs, Foss explains.

Applied Artificial Intelligence
- A dedicated programme in Applied Artificial Intelligence gives students technical knowledge, practical skills, and a problem-solving mindset, enabling them to contribute to real projects from day one, says Bertram Haskins, Program Manager for Applied AI.
Students learn to build and implement AI solutions, with a strong focus on responsible and effective use of the technology.

DevOps Engineering
- Without close collaboration between development and operations, products risk becoming outdated before they are even launched. The DevOps engineer ensures holistic thinking and value from day one, says Frederick Johannes Botha, Program Manager for DevOps Engineering.
The programme provides competence in automation, CI/CD, cloud environments, infrastructure, and monitoring.

Cloud Security and Infrastructure
- Many people know the tools, but few understand the full picture. Competence in identity, data flow, access management, and continuous monitoring is essential, says Åsne Holtklimpen, Senior Architect at Crayon.
- Students gain insight into both technology and strategic security considerations, enabling them to contribute to secure and modern use of digital services, says Tom Drange, Program Manager for Cloud Security and Infrastructure.

Ready for the workplace from day one
What the three programmes have in common:
- hands-on learning
- project-based education
- industry-relevant case work
- close collaboration with the tech industry
- We educate candidates who can enter projects immediately and create value from day one, Foss says.
